There has been a nearby house change hands recently – it had a sold sign prominently displayed after many many months of being for sale. The fact it took ages to sell signifies that it must have been in a poor state as the other houses around here always sell very quickly – they are attractive, large family properties, offering a lot of space for the money, as a rule. Well going back to the one in mind, I noticed on the sales photos in the agent advert, that there were what looked like dog ‘crates’ in the main bedroom. This would be a most definite deal braker for me. As much as I love dogs, I have never let any near my bedroom. I look after several pooches throughout the year but do not own any myself. I cannot imagine allowing a pet of any size to meander around my sleeping quarters. They do have an aroma, unique when it comes to wet dogs! They do attract ticks and flas, however carefully one keeps these pests under control.
It was interesting to see the furniture coming out of the house recently and being transported in small anymous vans – not for them a large removal company. This week saw another couple of white vans in the drive and within a day, piles of the old carpet were stacked outside ready for removal. I do hope they have lovely hard wood flooring installed – I wish I had more downstairs to compliment that through from the front door right through to the family room. It’s so easy to keep clean.
